This upcoming BBQ Competition season just got a little more interesting. Jealous Devil 50k BBQ Competition is open to any and all cooks that are competing in any approved sanctioned events. All you have to do is utilize one of the many killer products Jealous Devil makes during the competition. If you place 1st thru 3rd you will earn points, if you place 1st thru 3rd in the Ancillary you earn points too. It’s that simple.

Competitors will be required to use exclusively any JD fuel at approved Competitions and show proof:

  • Upload a series of pictures or videos (using this form) demonstrating the usage of Jealous Devil fuel. Loading the smoker or grill, the lighting of the charcoal, action on the grill, and the finished product. 

  • Product packaging is required to be documented with the cook.

  • Any competitor found not using JD and claiming points will be disqualified.

  • Competitors are required to walk the stage in a JD hat or shirt and/or with the product used while accepting a 1st through 3rd place win, or 1st through 3rd place Ancillary win.

  • Competitors will be required to upload proof of the win (using this form) to have points earned within seven days of the competition.

  • The competition and earning of points starts at March 1st, 2023 and ends at November 12th, 2023.

  • Participants are required to be 18 years old to be eligible to register and participate.

  • All elements above are required to earn points.

Competitors will be required to upload proof (filling out this form) to have points counted. Only Nationally sanctioned BBQ Competitions (SCA & KCBS only) will be considered.
The point system below applies to each individual BBQ Competition:

Jealous Devil Points Chase:

Grand Champion - 3 (bonus points)

1st place call - 3

2nd place call - 2

3rd place call - 1

Ancillary Points Chase:

1st place call - 3

2nd place call - 2

3rd place call - 1

Jealous Devil competitors will be awarded points through the duration of the competition and winners will be announced at the conclusion of the event based on point totals. The competition begins on March 1st and will continue until November 12th. After November 20th, no more points will be awarded. Only registered participants are eligible to earn points. Registration is now open and it is free.

Pursuant to the terms and conditions of the Jealous Devil $50K BBQ Competition, the following prize structure is established:

  • 1st place in the Points Chase category: $35,000.

  • 2nd place in the Points Chase category: $7,000.

  • 3rd place in the Points Chase category: $2,000.

  • Ancillary category prize: $2,000.

  • People's Choice award: $5,000 ($500 each month).

The prize money will be distributed to the winners within 30 days after the competition ends.

It is the responsibility of the winners to provide the necessary tax information and documents required by the authorities in order to receive the prize money.

The organizers of the competition reserve the right to make changes to the prize structure at their discretion.

By participating in this competition, contestants agree to be bound by these rules and the decisions of the organizers of the Jealous Devil $50K BBQ Competition.

Step up to our video challenges to be one of the lucky winners to walk away with $500 and official JD merch every month during the competition.

In a nutshell, what People's Choice category is:
* Weekly BBQ video challenges
* To be eligible to win, the participant must follow Jealous Devil and the week's collab company, also tag both companies when posting the video
* Every Tuesday we will post in our Instagram page the week's challenge rules, and the participants need to post the videos by Sunday
* We will select the best video and announce it each Monday
* Winner of the week will get prize products from the week's collab company, and get to be voted as the month's champion
* All winners of each week of the month will participate in a voting, on our Instagram page, and the winner will receive the cash prize.
* Next month, we start all over again (until the end of the $50K BBQ Competition)

  • No, competitors are required to upload proof. You also will not receive the points if you do not submit the proof within seven days after the end of the event.

  • You need to access our message board and register there. Then just look for the Points Validation channel and provide the event information, along with photos that prove you won. Our team will verify the information you provide and credit your points.

  • No, just follow the rules of the challenges posted on Jealous Devil's social media, as well as in the message board.

  • Both the announcement of the weekly/monthly challenge rules and the posting of the winners of the week are on our Instagram page. Follow us there to know everything about the Peoples Choice.
