LIGHTING INSTRUCTIONS
Hex takes significantly more heat to light than other types of charcoal and may self-extinguish and/or light incompletely without adequate starting power. We strongly recommend using a charcoal chimney and JD Boom! Firestarters or an active starter (electric or gas) to light Hex. When lit properly, Hex should be ready to use within approx 20-30 minutes, will glow red hot from end-to-end, and will burn for several hours.
